My memory is of my father, a brick mason, building the 'new' school. Back then, summers went really fast and I wished he would have worked slower so that I wouldn't have to start school so soon.

At Ursuline I remember riding the school bus from Thorncreek each day. On occasion, during winter storms we would get stuck in a snow blizzard. We would turn around and go back to stay at the dorms with the boarders. We loved doing that.
I also remember doing the stencil work on the school newspaper. I always thought that I was pretty important to go up to the high school library to get the paper printed, etc.
